Many Counseling Center Directors in Texas find TUCCDA to be their primary source of collegial support, information and consultation regarding the diverse problems and challenges that face Counseling Centers and their Directors.
In addition to the state organization for counseling center directors, TUCCDA also encourages directors to join the national organization, the Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors (AUCCCD).
The Executive Committee is aware of the coronavirus situation and its implications for the upcoming TUCCDA conference that is scheduled to be held in South Padre Island on April 13-16, 2020. We are currently reviewing our options and will provide updates as we explore possible alternatives. In the meantime, we echo the message sent from the TAMUS system for you, your family, and your campus:
• Wash your hands for 20 seconds
• Use hand sanitizer
• Avoid shaking hands
• Disinfect frequently touched objects using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
• Stay home when you are sick and avoid close contact with those who are sick
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
We are praying for your continued leadership and wish the best for your campus during these uncertain times.
